We would request that patients who are not acutely ill and need to see a GP could refrain from contacting the practice over the next few weeks for appointments. We will be asking a few relevant questions in relation to the corona virus if you do contact us for an appointment. From today any online bookings will be available for telephone calls only over the course of the next few weeks. This is a temporary measure to reduce risk within the practice. It would be helpful if anyone requesting an annual medication review could please wait until mid April before booking to free up urgent appointments with the GP for acutely ill patients, please be assured this will not affect your prescriptions being issued. You can still order your prescriptions in the usual way, for those of you who don’t have patient access, you are welcome to email a prescription request to email@example.com rather than coming into the practice, we will be happy to process these in the usual way and send directly to the pharmacy within 48 working hours. We will be contacting those of you who have appointments already booked to convert your appointment to a telephone call where appropriate, obviously there will be cases where its necessary for you to attend the surgery. We would like to thank everyone for their ongoing co operation and hope that normal service will resume within the next few weeks. Please be assured these measures are temporary and to reduce risk to the staff and patients both. If you are unsure of anything please call the surgery and speak to the reception team.
If you have any viral symptoms, cough, with or without fever, shortness of breath or high temperature please do not come into the practice, please call us first. If you have any of these symptoms and been in direct contact with a confirmed case or you have travelled to any of the affected countries then please call NHS 111 for further advice.
