Good Morning Everyone
Some not so good news to share today, unfortunately our much loved Dr Hassan has been taken into hospital with covid-19, he was admitted a few days ago and is stable at the moment. Im sure as patients of the surgery you will be as saddened by this as the staff in the surgery. Dr Hassan is held in very high regard by both colleagues and patients alike. If anyone would like to send best wishes, thoughts and prayers to Dr Hassan you are more than welcome to do so via the surgery. It is indeed a very difficult time for everyone, so we would encourage anyone that needs help of any kind, whether it be even just a friendly phone call, help with shopping, medication etc to get in touch with us and we will gladly link you in with one of our very kind volunteers.
The surgery remains open with the remainder of the staff, Dr Martin is working from home for the foreseeable and continuing to be a fantastic help, Dr Hamilton is also doing a wonderful job and still coming in every day and dealing with the daily workload. Obviously we have lost a few admin staff due to individual circumstances, despite this we are managing to carry on. We cannot express our gratitude enough to you as patients for supporting us and only contacting now if urgent/acute problems needing to be dealt with, Willaston is really shining as a community during this time. We anticipate the workload to increase significantly over the next couple of weeks due to 111 calls being referred back to surgery etc so please continue to contact us with acute problems only. The same applies to INR’s and urgent bloods, please contact us as normal to arrange these, due to staffing it may be a different phlebotomist but we are doing our best to ensure the service delivers for as long as possible in the same way from the surgery here.
We will share a little video on the Willaston residents and countryside society facebook page the staff made for Dr Hassan if you wish to view
We will update you as much as possible over the next few days
Stay in and be safe
Best regards
Willaston Surgery
