All appointments in the surgery are prebookable in advance. Please refrain from ringing at 8am on the day unless it is URGENT. The reception team will ask you for a brief indication of the problem before directing you to an appropriate clinician. We aim to offer all patients a prebookable appointment within 24-48hours unless you specify a particular clinician who is booked further ahead. Medication Reviews are important but NOT urgent so when booking a medication review it will be at least 7days in advance of the appointment, please note this will not affect your prescription being processed.
If you require suture removal after an operation or a dressing, this would normally be carried out in the dressing clinic in Neston, however, due to the volume of patients attending the clinic, the surgery have agreed to see the over flow on a tempoary basis until the problem is resolved. We would ask all patients requiring this treatment to please ring in advance of the appointment to ensure they get an appointment and not leave it to the day before as our clinics book up very quickly.
Physio first is available, this is a self referral service so is open to all patients at the practice who think they may require some physio, simply ring reception and ask for an appointment,we will book it for you using the online system available to us, no GP referral required for this service ie sprains+strains, Back pain, Trapped nerves, Joint arthritis, Neck pain, Whiplash etc.The service operates from Ellesmereport Hospital on various evenings.
We would like to Welcome our Well – Being Co-ordinator Mr Rikki Lloyd to the practice. Rikki will be based in Willaston Surgery on a Friday . He will be available for appointments by contacting the surgery reception to book in.
The well being co-ordinator is a huge advantage and can be used for any non medical need that maybe impacting physical/Mental Health and Well being. For example helping people to overcome social isolation, signposting to beneficial services like housing, social care, education, mental health support, benefits, debt issues and supporting informal carers.
So please if you think this service could help you or you just want to have a chat get in touch
If your appointment is not urgent and for ease to yourself then please contact the surgery after 9am when it is less busy. We would ask patients not to turn up at the surgery between 8am and 9am to book appointments due to how busy that period can be.
