Appointments
All consultations will initially be by telephone, then if the GP feels you need a face to face appointment, they will agree a time for you to attend the surgery. Routine appointments are available for up to two weeks ahead, this has been reduced due to the covid-19 pandemic. If your medical need is urgent we will endeavour to see you that day but we would ask patients only to ring on the day if it is URGENT. If there are no available appointments we will signpost you to the most relevent service to ensure you get the necessary care. We have the option of GP extended hours which operates from various sites in the evenings and also the NHS 111 service as well as the walk in centres which are currently agreed by telephone first.
We would ask that patients do not turn up at the surgery to arrange appointments and should do so by ringing the surgery where possible. If your appointment is not urgent then please ring later in the day. Unfortunately admin staff can only offer what is available, please refrain from shouting or being verbally abusive towards the staff as this will not be tolerated in any way and may result in you being invited to register with another surgery. We appreciate the changes due to the covid-19 pandemic have been difficult but by all accounts necessary for everyone’s safety.
Appointments can be made by telephone and online using the following link ( You must however be registered with a password to use the secure website link – if you are not registered for online access please email or ring the surgery and one of our reception Team will happily assist with this.
There are a range of appointments now available for you to book online, as well as GP appointments we now offer smear appointments, b12 appointments, NHS Health Check appointments (you must book bloods 1 week prior to this appointment) and we will continue to increase the options for patients as best we can whilst trying to manage the clinics appropriately.
If you are unable to keep your appointment it is important that you let the surgery know as soon as possible in order that someone else may be offered the appointment slot.
We have temporarily suspended the self check in system, when you arrive at the surgery now, please press the intercom and reception will allow you entry into the surgery. We ask that all patients sanitise their hands to the right hand side of reception, wear a face covering and have a seat in the downstairs waiting area. If you need to discuss anything with reception, where possible it is recommended that you leave the surgery and ring to make further appointments or discuss your query. This is due to the lay out of the building and t allow us to ensure social distancing measures can be adhered to safely. We are hopeful this will change in the future but for now we must continue with this process.
We aim to keep waiting times to a minimum, therefore we ask patients not to bring a list of ailments to an appointment. Each appointment is only 10mins and should be for one ailment, if you have more things to discuss please request a double appointment or make two separate appointments. Remember the longer you are in the surgery or on the telephone, the longer the next person has to wait and so on, so to help us reduce the waiting times for others please try and respect this request.
Surgery Appointment Times are usually :-

The surgery will be open from 9am to 12pm. Please do not turn up at the surgery between 9am and 10am to arrange an appointment at the desk, between these times you can only make appointments via telephone as they are limited and urgents only.
