Appointments

All consultations to be seen in the surgery are by appointment only. Routine appointments are available for up to eight weeks ahead. If your medical need is urgent we will endeavour to see you that day but we would ask patients only to ring on the day if it is URGENT. If there are no available appointments we will signpost you to the most relevent service to ensure you get the necessary care. We have the option of GP extended hours which operates from various sites in the evenings and also the NHS 111 service.

We would ask that patients do not turn up at the surgery to arrange appointments between 8am and 9am as this is peak time and we will be dealing with the telephones. If your appointment is not urgent then please ring later in the day. Unfortunately admin staff can only offer what is available, please refrain from shouting or being verbally abusive towards the staff as this will not be tolerated in any way and may result in you being invited to register with another surgery.

Appointments can be made by telephone, in person or some are available online using the following link ( You must however be registered with a password to use the secure website link – if you are not registered for online access please call into the surgery with photo ID and proof of address and one of our reception Team will happily assist with this.

There are a range of appointments now available for you to book online, as well as GP appointments we now offer smear appointments, b12 appointments, NHS Health Check appointments (you must book bloods 1 week prior to this appointment) and we will continue to increase the options for patients as best we can whilst trying to manage the clinics appropriately.

If you are unable to keep your appointment it is important that you let the surgery know as soon as possible in order that someone else may be offered the appointment slot.

We operate a self check in system, there is no need to go to the reception desk, the machine is located in the downstairs waiting room and is very easy to use. If you feel you need help checking in and would like a member of the team to show you please just ask. Alternatively if you have any kind of disability which prevents you from checking in using this system please inform reception and we will be happy to do it for you.

We aim to keep waiting times to a minimum, therefore we ask patients not to bring a list of ailments to an appointment. Each appointment is only 10mins and should be for one ailment, if you have more things to discuss please request a double appointment or make two separate appointments. Remember the longer you are in the surgery, the longer the next person has to wait and so on, so to help us reduce the waiting times for others please try and respect this request.
